Fried Fish with Ginger


If you are a fan of ginger this recipe is just for you as the refreshing scent and sharp flavour fuses perfectly with the fish to create an aromatic delight!


  • 250g fish
  • 20g fresh chopped ginger
  • 2 table spoons palm sugar
  • 2 table spoons soy bean paste
  • 1 tee spoon oyster sauce
  • 3 cloves chopped garlic
  • 4 table spoons vegetable oil
  • 2 table spoons water


Cooking method:

Heat frying pan & add the oil, when hot add the fish & fry both sides. When fish is cooked remove from the pan & turn down the heat.

Re-using 2 table spoons of oil now add the ginger to the frying pan & fry until golden brown for 1 minute, then add garlic & stir for another 2 minutes, then add soy bean paste, oyster sauce & water & stir well & leave to simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Add mixture to the fish & serve with basmati rice.
